"A woman student who has actively participated in KU athletic organizations and has contributed to the development of women's inter-collegiate athletics."

OUTSTANDING WOMAN STUDENT IN COMMUNITY SERVICE
"A woman student who has made outstanding contributions to off-campus organizations or agencies."

Winner: Jasmin Smith

OUTSTANDING NONTRADITIONAL WOMAN STUDENT
"A nontraditional woman student who has made a unique contribution to the University or community. (Nontraditional includes those who are continuing their education after an absence from school, those who are over 21 and just beginning their college education, those who work full-time and attend school part-time, married students, single parents who are students, or veterans.)"

OUTSTANDING WOMAN STUDENT IN LEADERSHIP
"A woman student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills by taking an active role in campus or community organizations, developing a new project or addressing a current need."

"A woman student who has made outstanding contributions to students through her collaborative work and interactions with campus departments, services or organizations."

"A woman student from a country other than the United States who has demonstrated academic achievement and involvement in various aspects of community or college life."

"A female instructor or student teaching assistant who, through outstanding teaching skills, has contributed to the academic and personal growth of KU students."

"A non-faculty woman who, through outstanding work performance, has contributed to the academic and personal growth of KU students."

WOMAN'S HALL OF FAME
"Designed to honor outstanding women graduates of the University of Kansas and faculty or staff, who provide role models for students as they choose careers and become effective citizens."

OUTSTANDING WOMEN STUDENTS IN RESIDENCE HALLS, SCHOLARSHIP HALLS AND SORORITIES
These women are selected by the senior staff of the Housing Department, based on information from the resident assistants in Gertrude Sellards Pearson and Corbin Halls. Criteria includes: involvement in the activities of these halls, cooperation in projects aimed at improving the quality of life in these halls, positive response to the needs of fellow residents, and positive personal characteristics.
