Below is a list of the Optional Campus Fees that are available during spring 2008 enrollment for the fall 2008 semester:

ALL-ARTS Access Pass ($124.00)
A Build Your Own Performing Arts Package that allows you to see great artists at a fantastic discount! You pick – You save! The All-Arts Access Pass provides you with admission to 17 performing arts events throughout the year at a discount greater than the already low ½ price student rate. The All-Arts Pass is offered by the Lied Center of Kansas, University Theatre, Dept. of Music & Dance, and Spencer Art Museum. The pass includes one event each in the Concert, Chamber Music, New Directions, Broadway, Family, and World Series at the Lied Center (total of six shows), four mainstage events and one Children's Theatre event in the University Theatre Series (total of five shows), and six selected performances presented by the Department of Music and Dance plus a 10% discount at the Spencer Museum Shop. Also included are $10 Rush Tickets for additional Lied Center performances available only to All-Arts Access Pass holders. Go to www.lied.ku.edu for more information. Enroll online through July 31, 2007. Beginning August 1, the pass can be purchased at the Lied Center Ticket Office. ALL SPORTS COMBO ($150.00)
The purchase of an all-sports combo is good for student admission to regular-season home KU football and men's basketball games based on the venue capacity for each event. The all-sports combo guarantees admission to football, but does not necessarily guarantee admission to men's basketball.

2008-09 Student Combo ticket pick-up information and procedures will be available beginning August 1st, 2008. Football ticket distribution will begin at 9 a.m. on August 19th, at the Kansas Athletics Ticket Office, located in the southeast corner of Allen Fieldhouse.  Students must sign for and pick up their own tickets and show a valid KU ID. Lost tickets will be replaced for a fee. Students are fully responsible for keeping track of their tickets and fraudulent use may result in disciplinary action.  Men’s basketball ticket distribution information and procedures will be available beginning October 1st, 2008.

COMBO REFUND POLICY: After August 1st, 2008, students may apply for a FULL refund via the Kansas Athletics Ticket Office. The deadline for FULL refunds will be August 22nd, 2008. Partial refunds will be given up to October 24th, 2008. After October 24th, 2008, there will be NO refunds.

BEAK 'EM BUCKS ($50.00; $100.00; $150.00; $200.00)
If you don't want to carry a lot of cash, or hassle with finding coins to do your laundry and photocopying, then consider using Beak 'Em Bucks- a prepaid declining balance account on your KU Card (KUID). Beak 'Em Bucks provides a secure, reliable, and convenient method for paying for food, photocopies, printing, and laundry. When using your Beak 'Em Bucks account on campus, a discount on food purchases, as well as discounts on other services, may apply. You can also use Beak 'Em Bucks at twenty-eight (28) off-campus merchant locations, and earn reward points at the same time.  All you have to do is sign up!  Visit www.beakembucks.com for more information.

DISTRIBUTION:  The amount of Beak ‘Em Bucks you select through Optional Campus Fees will be added to your KU Card after August 4, 2008 and prior to the first day of Fall classes, which is August 21, 2008.

REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds except in cases of graduation, withdrawal, or transfer from the University.  Money remaining in your Beak ‘Em Bucks account at the end of the semester will transfer to the next semester.  Please visit the KU Card Center Website at www.kucard.ku.edu for additional information.

BOCO (Freshman/Sophomore/Junior/Senior ($10.00 Ea.))
Support activities for your class!  Your class officers plan class projects and activities, select faculty, staff, and students for awards, design the senior class banner, and choose the annual senior class gift to the University.  Funds generated help pay for these projects.  For seniors, your class dues will go directly to the class gift that leaves a legacy for the Class of 2009.

CAREER ASSESSMENTS ($25.00)
Entitles student to take two career assessment instruments (Strong Interest Inventory and the Do What You Are) and have them interpreted by a career counselor at The University Career Center.  The assessments are designed to address the unique needs of students who are undecided about their career direction and/or need information about the career possibilities for various majors. (August 20, 2008 to August 19, 2009).

Distribution:  To get started, make an appointment with a career counselor at The University Career Center, 110 Burge Union between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (785-864-3624).  Instructions and a further explanation of the two career assessments will be addressed in the first meeting with the career counselor.  Reports will be printed by the career counselor and reviewed with the student in subsequent visits.

JAYBOWL “ALL YOU CAN BOWL” WEEKEND PASS ($55.00)
Jaybowl “All You Can Bowl” Weekend Pass holders are entitled to free bowling and shoe rental every weekend beginning at opening on Fridays and running through closing on Sundays.  Even occasional users of the Jaybowl would benefit from this amazing special considering that one game with shoe rental cost $3.50...That’s like paying for a dozen games of bowling and getting the rest free for the entire semester.  Valid for the fall 2008 & spring 2009 semesters only.   

DISTRIBUTION:  Distribution begins August 21st, 2008 in the SUA (Student Union Activities) Box Office, located on the 4th Floor of the Kansas Union. 

REFUND POLICY:  Full refunds for unused Weekend Passes will be issued through August 29th, 2008 at the SUA Box Office.

JAYHAWKER YEARBOOK ($50.00)
Rich in history, one of the only yearbooks of its kind in the nation, the Jayhawker Yearbook chronicles a year at KU with vivid accounts and images of student life and sports.

DISTRIBUTION: In early May at the Kansas Union.

REFUND POLICY: Refunds available on request until January 17, 2009.

JOB SEARCH-ENGINEERING ($25.00)
For ENGINEERING & COMPUTER SCIENCE students (undergraduate and graduate students) Employment and Internship Services entitles student to participate in the following, all online through KU Career Connections: on-campus interviewing for internships/co-ops and full-time positions, inclusion in the Web Resume Book (a searchable database accessed by employers), access to job postings (internships, full-time, and part-time positions), and access to information about company visits to campus. Please note that for Engineering & Computer Science students, KU Career Connections is a one-time fee, good until six months after graduation (Services begin  August 1, 2008).

DISTRIBUTION: To complete your registration for KU Job Search-Employment and Internship Services, go to the Engineering Career Center, 1001 Eaton Hall, 785-864-3891, to obtain a username and password.

REFUND POLICY: No refunds are available after August 31, 2008.

KU FIT GROUP FITNESS PASS (Fall Semester $50.00)
KU Fit group fitness sessions are designed to increase fitness and reduce stress. Over forty sessions are offered each week including a variety of cardio, strength, yoga and Pilates. The KU Fit session schedule can be found online at www.recreation.ku.edu . Options are provided in every class making KU Fit classes appropriate for all fitness levels. Let a certified fitness instructor motivate and lead your mind and body through a workout! KU Fit session passes allow student card holders to attend all sessions listed on the KU Fit schedule as often as they like during the semester! KU Fit sessions will begin the first full week of the semester and end prior to finals week. There are no sessions held over semester breaks, holidays or other dates specified on the schedule.

DISTRIBUTION: To complete your registration and obtain your KU Fit pass please stop by the administrative office (Room 103) of the Student Recreation Fitness Center. Distribution will begin the first day of school each semester.

REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds except in the case of medical issues.

SLAB ($5.00)
The Student Legislative Awareness Board (SLAB) is lobbying by KU students for KU students. SLAB voices and protects the rights of KU students on the campus, city, state, and national levels. This includes, but is not limited to, advocating on the cost of tuition and textbooks, promoting the rights of students, registering student voters, and pursuing other relevant issues as directed by the student body. With your selection of the SLAB optional campus fee you enable these vital student efforts to continue. All SLAB contributors receive updates on issues through SLAB's newsletter, The Informer, as well as student voter guides, and notification of all SLAB activities.

SUA PREFERRED STUDENT CARD ($30.00)
The SUA Preferred Student Card is your ticket to movies and events on the KU campus.  With this card you get access to over 20 movies shown by Student Union Activities - from new releases to independent films.  Along with this great movie benefit, you are entitled to discounts on select major ticketed events including headlining comedians, national touring bands and outstanding speakers.  The card also gives you the ability to buy highly sought after tickets in advance of other KU students.  This ensures that you get premium seating and the convenience of not having to wait in line for many of SUA’s events.  Valid for the Fall 2008 & Spring 2009 semesters. 

DISTRIBUTION:  Distribution begins August 21st, 2008 in the SUA Box Office.

REFUND POLICY:  Full refunds for unused SUA Preferred Student Card will be issued through August 29th, 2008 at the SUA Office.  Refunds are not available for individual events.

TRADITION KEEPERS ($20.00)
Show your KU pride and Jayhawk spirit by becoming a student member of the KU Alumni Association.  Tradition Keepers receive great benefits including: KU T-shirt, KU collectible glass, Hawk to Hawk alumni mentoring program, free Finals Dinner each semester and weekly quiet study space at the Alumni Center, access to online alumni directory, 2009 KU wall calendar, discounts and special offers at local businesses, membership card, invitations to events, networking opportunities and much more.  Valid for 2008-2009 school year.

REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds.

DISTRIBUTION: Beginning August 18, 2008, you may pick up your 2008-2009 Tradition Keeper benefits at the Adams Alumni Center, 1266 Oread Avenue. To claim your benefit package, visit the Alumni Association office on the third floor of the Alumni Center, 1266 Oread Ave., anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
