Kathy Rose-Mockry has been Program Director of the Emily Taylor Women's
Resource
Center since 1998. She came to KU from UCLA where she served as the Women's
Center Program Coordinator (1984-85), Associate Director (1985-89) and Director
(1989-98). While at KU, Kathy has served on numerous committees, including
the Civic Literacy Task Force, Hilltop Child Care Center Board of Directors,
Women's Studies Advisory Board, Multicultural Resource Center Advisory Board,
Rock Chalk Revue Sensitivity Panel, Sexual Assault Response Plan Committee
and the Rape Victim-Survivor Services Community Coalition.
Kathy is originally from California and attended UCLA for 3 years prior
to transferring to KU to complete a bachelor's degree in music therapy.
After some time working as a music therapist in California, she returned
to KU to complete a master's degree in Counseling while serving as Director
of Lewis Hall (at that time an all-women's hall).
Kathy is excited to welcome students to ETWRC's new home in the Kansas Union.
